One Dead, Three Injured in Fort Worth Multi-Vehicle Collision

One person died and three others sustained injuries in a multi-vehicle collision in Fort Worth on Friday morning.

Two of the victims sustained serious injuries in the crash and were taken to a hospital. The third person had minor injuries, MedStar said.

The crash which involved four vehicles occurred on Overton Ridge Boulevard at Chisholm Trail Parkway around 10 a.m. on Friday, Fort Worth Police Department said.

The crash led to the closure of northbound exit from Chisholm Trail Parkway to Overton Ridge Boulevard to aid investigation. The lanes were later reopened.

The cause of the accident is not known although it is unclear if weather was a factor. A winter weather advisory was in force on Friday.

A traffic investigators’ fatality report is being awaited.
